Vodka is one of the most versatile drinks in the world with a range that expands from affordable to absolute luxury. The name Vodka translates to “Little Water” in both Russian and Polish languages, but despite its humble name and beginnings, the bottles we have on our list are everything but.
With prices ranging from a few thousand dollars to multiple millions, here’s a quick look at the most expensive vodka bottles in 2021:
- Billionaire Vokda – $7.25 Million
- The Eye of the Dragon – $5.5 Million
- Billionaire Vodka – $3.7 Million
- Russo-Baltique Vodka – $1.3 Million
- DIVA Premium Vodka – $1 Million
- Russo-Baltique Vodka – $740,000
- Kors Vodka 24k, George V Limited Edition – $24,500
- Absolut Crystal Pinstripe Black Bottle – $10,000
- Belvedere Bear Vodka – $7,240
- OVAL Swarovski Crystal Vodka – $6,922
10. OVAL Swarovski Crystal Vodka – $6,922
Starting off our most expensive vodkas list is a limited edition Swarovski Crystal bottle by OVAL. This truly magnificent bottle is entirely covered with 7,000 Swarovski crystal studs, raising its price to a hefty $6,922.
While the price of this expensive vodka bottle is primarily attributed to the high-end Swarovski crystals, its contents are also of premium quality. OVAL is a brand known for producing premium, smooth-textured vodka made from pure wheat alcohol and water. The result is a unique, rich-tasting vodka that is a joy to consume.
9. Belvedere Bear Vodka – $7,240
Yet another vodka with a limited edition bottle, the Belver Bear launched during the Cannes Film Festival in 2011. The teddy bear-shaped, translucent Plexiglas bottle also comes equipped with backlights making it a unique attraction at gatherings. The intriguing design was the result of Belvedere’s collaboration with singer and songwriter DJ Jean-Roch.
While the bottle is indeed noteworthy, its contents also come at a premium. Belvedere is known for creating some of the most smooth and flavorful vodkas in the world. Despite being distilled four whole times, the flavor and texture of this vodka are top-notch. The combination of the limited-edition bottle and premium vodka? A whopping $7,240.
8. Absolut Crystal Pinstripe Black Bottle – $10,000
Coming in at number 8 on our list of most expensive vodka is the Absolut Crystal Pinstripe Black Bottle. The simple, yet sophisticated, look of this handicraft-themed bottle was the fruit of the collaboration between Absolut Vodka and Swedish designers Magnus Skosberg and Mimi Smart. The bottle, along with two crystal tumblers, is packed in a pinstripe fabric treasure chest. Only 10 of these pieces were ever made, each selling for $10,000. For those that were unable to get their hands on this premium item, a non-black version was also made and sold for $1,500.
While presentation is key, and in this case highly responsible for a large sum of the price, Absolut’s vodka is still of premium quality. The unique flavor and richness of Absolut Vodka are attributed to the company exclusively distilling of hard winter wheat.
7. Kors Vodka 24k, George V Limited Edition – $24,500
Pure gold, not only in terms of looks but also taste, this bottle holds a true piece of history. The $24,500 limited edition Kors Vodka 24k, George V is made from a recipe created by Nicholas II, Czar of Russia. The Czar was trying to create the perfect tasting vodka. He had tried multiple methods of distillation, including a process that used solid gold pipes and was infused with diamonds. The “perfect” recipe was ultimately shared with George V, the Czar’s cousin. Years later, Kors Vodka was able to replicate the recipe and include it in the Kors Vodka 24k, George V Limited Edition. Such a special vodka deserved to be in a special bottle. As such, they created a hand-crafted crystal bottle decorated with 24 karat gold. Only 24 of these were ever made, and are well worth their massive price tag.
6. Russo-Baltique Vodka – $740,000
Russo-Baltique was among the first Russian automobile manufacturers in the early 1900s. Eventually, the company wanted to venture out and create an authentic-tasting Russian vodka aimed at the upper class. As such, the Russo-Baltique vodka was created. To honor the company’s roots, the vodka is encased in a 20lb pure gold bottle, designed to resemble the radiator of the classic cars the company was once known for. The top of the bottle is decorated by a diamond-encrusted Imperial double-headed eagle. Only 10 of these were ever made, and at $740,000, the Russo-Baltique Vodka is well-deserving of a place on or list of most expensive vodka.
A fun fact before moving on; whoever bought one of these bottles back in 2011 would also be given a free Dartz Prombron Iron Diamond SUV.
5. DIVA Premium Vodka – $1 Million
We are just halfway through our list of most expensive vodka, and we have the first entry to break the $1million mark. The DIVA premium vodka is made by distilling the premium English vodka multiple times and is filtered with precious stones giving it that authentic high-end taste. This luxury vodka comes in a simple, yet elegant bottle, at the center of which is a column filled with precious crystals that can either be removed or left in for decoration.
4. Russo-Baltique Vodka – $1.3 Million
Another entry by Russo-Baltique, only this time the vodka bottle is almost double the price. Worth $1.3 million, this bulletproof glass bottle was made to commemorate the company’s 100th anniversary. The bottle also came with unique flasks made out of radiator guards from vintage Russo-Baltique cars.
Again, we have a few fun facts related to this expensive vodka bottle.
First fun fact: This Russo-Baltique vodka made its debut appearance in the famous Netflix series “House of Cards.”
Second fun fact: One of the $1.3 million bottles was actually stolen from Copenhagen’s Café 33, a vodka museum that has a collection of 1,200 vodka bottles. Luckily, the bottle was found empty in a construction site in Denmark shortly after.
3. Billionaire Vodka – $3.7 Million
Previously considered to be the most expensive vodka in the world with a price tag of $3.7 million, the Billionaire Vodka is true to its name premium Russian vodka. Billionaire Vodka was launched in 2012 by Leon Verres and was considered to be the purest and smoothest Russian vodka in the world. The bottle was decorated with a lavish white faux fur making truly stand out among the rest both in terms of looks and taste.
2. The Eye of the Dragon – $5.5 Million
The second most expensive vodka in the world comes from the Dutch, Hong-Kong-based company, Royal Dragon. Symbolizing wealth, power, and good fortune, diamond-encrusted dragons decorate this breathtakingly beautiful 6-liter bottle of vodka. More specifically, there are 50 carats worth of yellow diamonds, and thousands of smaller clear diamonds weighing 4.5lbs. The bottle is also decorated with a beautiful 18 karat gold. The bottle is not the only noteworthy aspect however, the vodka encased is among the richest and smoothest in the world, made by a quintuple distillation of the finest winter rye.
1. Billionaire Vodka – $7.25 Million
The number one most expensive vodka in the world is the 2015 iteration of the Billionaire Vodka by Leon Verres priced at $7.25 million. Similar to its $3.7 million counterpart, the bottle is covered in faux fur, only this time it's black and decorated with almost 2,000 diamonds set in gold for the ultimate look and feel of luxury. Inside this massive 18-liter bottle is a vodka made from an original Russian recipe filtered with pure diamonds.
There is a “less expensive” variant of this vodka that comes in a 0.7-liter frosted bottle called the Diamond Edition which comes with 6 diamonds and a limited edition gold dog tag. These however have been sold out, and Verres is currently making a new version said to contain an LED light system.
